Inclusive product delivery

Accessibility belongs in the product brief.

Accessibility requirements should be identified before design and implementation. The target standard, user needs, assistive technology coverage, content, and testing responsibilities should be recorded for each project.

Planning considerations

Keyboard access, focus order, contrast, labels, error messages, screen-reader semantics, zoom, motion preferences, captions, language, touch targets, and responsive behavior should be considered from the first concept.

Testing

A delivery plan may include automated checks, keyboard review, screen-reader spot checks, responsive testing, content review, and user testing with people who use assistive technologies.

Standards and law

The applicable accessibility law and target standard vary by country, sector, audience, and contract. A project team should confirm the required target rather than claiming that one checklist satisfies every jurisdiction.

Information on this page is a product and policy overview, not legal advice or a universal certification. Final terms, jurisdictional requirements, provider commitments, and customer responsibilities must be confirmed for the specific service.
